Chairman's Message: April 2010

Thank you for your vote of confidence!  On Saturday, April 17, 2010, 587 Fauquier Republicans participated in the Biennial Party Canvass.  Nearly 400 voters accepted my message and have re-elected me as your Chairman of the Republican Committee with over 67% of the vote.  I will honor the mandate of those voters who accepted my message, and work to bring as many folks into the party who held a different point of view as reasonably possible.

Our focus now will shift to November.  As I stated, this year may be the most important election of our lifetime.  Let me chronicle the dis-service the Obamacrats have wreaked upon the American people with just some of the abuses which must be STOPPED:

1. We must repeal the socialized medicine bill that just passed Congress.
2. We must stop the appointment of Supreme Court Justices who disregard the plain letter of the United States Constitution.
3. We must reject any attempts at national amnesty for those who have illegally entered our country, and must secure our borders as has been promised in the past.
4. We must halt the horrific spending habits of our federal government; stop the bailouts, earmarks & so called "stimulus spending."
5. We must promote and demand a government that honors a "culture of life" which protects life from conception to natural death.
6. We must push for lower taxes, free enterprise and an end to the regulatory system which has allowed unelected bureaucrats to regulate industry and commerce to the detriment of our national economy.
7. We must promote a responsible educational system that educates rather than indoctrinates; the whole time reserving to the people the natural right of parents to educate children in the fashion of their choosing, consistent with the faith of their choosing without unreasonable interference or interruption of the government.
8. We must support our military, police and prosecutors who work for safety and security of our nation and the communities therein.

AND, this is just the beginning of the list that can only be accomplished if we are unified in our message and select and support candidates who behave like conservative representatives who stand in the shoes of the people and have the interests of the people foremost in mind.  Thank you and welcome to the fight!
